Finally, a picture of me

My friend and fellow photographer Cindy Speer (http://speerportraitdesign.blogspot.com/) and I took pictures of each other for our websites. It was a lot of fun and now I actually have a good picture of myself. It's sort of ironic how photographers have no pictures of themselves. I need to get better at that. Anyways, here's my favorite one. Thanks Cindy!!

Joseph and Jacob

Here's another BFA picture. This depicts Jacob giving Joseph the coat of many colors with his brother upset in the background. Andrew McBride is the middle brother, Nate Mower is Jacob, and the rest of them are Random guys from Andrew's ward. They were all really good sports about it. We had to do everything, include change and drive, in half an hour, because Nate had to go home teaching. It was a rush, but I think it turned out nicely.

Christ and Mary

Just a few shoots to go before I finish my BFA project! Here's one of Christ appearing to Mary outside the tomb. Stewart Hamblin is Christ and Amy Ethington is Mary.

Field Trip

For my portrait class, we all took a trip to St. Anthony to play around and take some photos. Tamara (my Teacher) taught us more about finding backgrounds and lighting techiques. I only got a few photos before my battery died :( I guess it was a good lesson to always be prepared.

Jessica

This is Jessica. Last winter, we were in classes together every day and were also in the same ward. We'd often do homework together on saturdays so we saw each other every day of the week! She's a lot of fun. These pictures are from a photo shoot for my portrait class. enjoy!

Angel Jet

This one was for my portrait class. The assignment was to create a high key image in the studio. I rented the costume from the theater department. Jet was a good sport.

Jet's in Rexburg!

Jet's in Rexburg! I'm so happy that my little sister came up to BYU-Idaho for college. So far, we've spend a lot of time together. I'm sure there will be a lot more future posts with her in them, as I've assigned her as my personal practice model. She does a great job putting up with me.

First Day of School

And so the last semester of College begins. I am truly excited to be finished this December, but after my first day of classes today, I think this semester will be enjoyable. I am taking the BFA photography class (which shows in late Nov) and the Portrait class as far as photography is concerned. The portrait class is a party! It's what I love to do, and I get to do it for credit! yay! Here are a couple of shots from my first day in the Portrait class. We had to find backgrounds within 50 feet of the photography building. It was a lot of fun. The people pictured are fellow classmates.

MoJo and Logan's Wedding

More wedding bliss. Here is a dash of images from MoJo and Logan's wedding from yesterday. Their wedding was incredible. They had a combined luncheon and reception during the day and it was short and sweet, in a beautiful backyard, with REALLY good food. I had a lot of fun taking the pictures.

Brittany and Tim's Big Day

Yay for marriage! Here's a taste of Tim and Brittany's big day! They were married in the Rexburg Temple. They had a TON of family, like 200 people, and that was just those who could make it. The bottom picture is Family only!!

Dan and Karla's Wedding

Party in San Diego! Dan and Karla are good friends of mine, and I was so happy when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, cuz that meant a vacation! Working with them was a lot of fun. Dan likes having his picture taken more than most men, so my job was a piece of cake. Karla is so photogenic and beautiful that it kills me! I've never had a problem with coveting until I saw her hair! The wedding was so beautiful and a lot of fun. Here are a couple of the pictures I took for your enjoyment.
