Portrait Highlights

Here are a few highlights from my adventures in portrait class today. The light was so soft due to the massive amount of clouds. It even sprinkled a little rain while we were shooting. We found some abandoned buildings (there are a lot of those around Rexburg) and we shot around until Tamara noticed a "no trespassing" sign.
As I was shooting, I realized that I'm really going to miss Idaho when I move. I've been so ready to graduate and get outta here, but now I'm a little grieved at the thought of ever going. Idaho is so beautiful! I'm so glad I live here

Mike

I've decided that Mike is the coolest. Need proof? Check this out:

Kat

This is Kat. She is one of the prettiest people I know. I was so excited to take her picture! She is very photogenic and has a really great smile. Thanks for the photo shoot Kat!

Darling Dani

Here's Dani's studio portrait. She's so photogenic and I want her hair! I used 5 lights and a Canon 40D camera. Precious? yes!

Portrait Party

Beth, Megan, Laura, Katie and I all went out for a photo shoot and had a really great time. They're all in my portrait class and we helped each other out with our assignments. We went out to lunch too. They were all a party to shoot with!

New Business Cards

Here are my new Business cards. My last one didn't have my logo on it, and I like the idea of having a variety of cards for different purposes (wed, fam, and portrait). Let me know what you think!

Editing

I've been trying to learn more about airbrushing and such in photoshop lately. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning a ton. It's mastering the skin that has proved to be a challenge. You don't want it to look fake, but at the same time, you want it nice and smooth. With help of a surface blur, clone stamping, the healing brush, and a little burning and dodging, my new edited pictures are turning out much nicer.
