Business Card

I just ordered some business cards! Yay!
Here's the design.

The website isn't correct yet though.
I did buy from GoDaddy,
but I have to switch my current website to match that url.

Anyways, let me know what you think.

Naturey stuff

I would never call myself a nature photographer. I actually think close up pictures of flowers are cliche and I can never get myself get into that sort of thing. I like to look at nature photography, but I'm just not one to do it myself.

Nate on the other hand loves nature photography and always wants me to do more. These just about all I could find in my entire photo archives of close up pictures of nature.

I'm taking my first studio lighting class and so far I love it. I'm still getting the hang of it, but I'm excited to get it down!

This is a pic that I took for a project. The only parameters were that I had to shoot a box and a ball with some sort of relativity between the two objects.

Lil Edge

This is Edgerrin Weeks.
He is so cute and I think I'm obsessed with him.

Sunday Picnic

My friends and I all planned a hamburger picnic at Porter Park on sunday. As luck would have it, it rained, so we had to have it inside. But fear not, the food was still excellent!

Here is the first photo-shoot for my BFA project. I'm doing scripture stories.

This is David from David and Goliath. I'm not sure which picture I am going to use for the final image (I'm just going to have one picture for each character.)

Let me know which one you think I should use.

Harry Potter?

It was a lone and dreary night. I was in the front of the car, and Albert was scraping off the snow while I took this. This has no photo manipulation, it's just straight outta the camera. I think it looks like the cover of a Harry Potter Book.

This is my old roommate Jennilyn! Ain't she precious? This was taken at Porter Park in Rexburg.

Out Stalking Strangers

I was at a bluegrass festival in Blackfoot, and I saw this couple talking a little ways in front of me. I thought they were cute so I took there picture. If you know these people, or are these people, I apologize for being creepy. The second picture was taken at this same event.

I had some time to kill before Albert's football game, so I took some pictures. The first one Rachel and I think should be a Pringles add.

This is Pam and Vance. We took a trip down to Blackfoot for Heather and Thomas' wedding, and while we were at it, we went tubing down a canal! It was really cold at first, but I bucked up and went!

Light Sources

This one's kind of a fun one. This was for some photo project dealing with light sources.

Paris was out last stop. It was a lot of fun, but after a month of non-stop traveling, I was ready to go home. The first pictures is my tour group, with our instructor lecturing us about Notre Dame. The next is some candles inside the Cathedral. After that we have Tyler and Brittany (A married couple on our tour), and lastly, some castle somewhere near Reims France. After that, it was time to go home. I remember kissing the floor once we landed in America. Traveling was a lot of fun, and I'm so glad I did it!

Italy to me brings back blissful memories of pizza and gelato! The first picture was taken in Venice, the next five pictures were taken in Rome, and the last one was in Florence. I really like the third picture. It was taken in the Pantheon (the big dome building with the hole in the top). To me, this is what being a tourist felt like, with the tall ancient buildings crowded with tourists as the sun blazes. This trip was fun, but it was also exhausting, and I think this image captures what the trip really felt like.

Greece was a lot of fun, despite the creepy men who asked my friends and I to come home with them. Although Athens was a scary place, nothing was as spectacular as the Acropolis! These pictures are mostly of Aegina, a Greek Island near Athens. The last picture is a view from the Acropolis.

Exactly one year ago, I was in Europe. The next few days I'll be posting highlights from each country as a sort of tribute to the trip. I had a lot of fun, gained new buddies, and learned a lot. I also met Pam, Shelli, and Ashleigh, some of the coolest people on Earth! (aka Pamula, Shell-I-Suga-Pie, and Ashleagck). For those of you who have not yet gone to Europe, I suggest you get over there and experience it!

My family took a trip down to Havasupai a few years ago. I hear now it's flooded out, so it's currently not as beautiful and will need time to heal itself, which is disappointing because my husband Nate and wanted to hike down to the campground this year.

Night in Rexburg

I had some spare time as I was waiting for Nate to come home, so I went outside and took a couple of night shots around main street in Rexburg. I hadn't done much night photography before this, but I thought it was pretty fun!

Shallow Depth

These are various pictures that all deal with extremely shallow depth of field. I used my telephoto lens for these guys. They're all pics around Rexburg, ID.
