McBride Family

This is Andrew and Rachel with their little girl. We are college friends as Andrew was Nate's roommate and Rachel was my roommate. They got married about a year and a half before Nate and I and had trouble getting pregnant. I am happy to say that they now have a beautiful baby girl! Children are such a gift.

Snow Family on Chase Field

One evening I got a text from Sherri Snow. She told me that she has stage 3 breast cancer and that she was looking for a photographer to take family portraits on Chase field. I was so happy that I got this opportunity! The Snows are big baseball fans and it was so much fun to see the kid's faces light up when we went on the field. After the shoot was over our escort took us back to the Diamond Backs' club house. This is a room where the players hang out. It's an exclusive room and the kids went nuts to be able to see it. Our escort was so kind to us and he inspired me to want to go the extra mile for others and make people smile. 

Nick Family

I am still blown away at the warm Arizona weather in January! Yes, I grew up in Gilbert but I am pretty sure when you are a kid you are more resilient to heat. Plus I was use to warm Januaries so I thought nothing of it. When I feel the sun beating down on me now all I can think of is "holy crap! If this is January then I do not want August!" 

But enough about my weather fears. Let's take a look at this good looking family. This is the Nick family. Abby (girl on far left) and I were buddies from Jr High through High School (Go Hawks!) and we still get together to let our boys play at the park while we catch up. Abby is one of the most wonderful people ever. I know thats easy to exaggerate about people but she really is. She has been a big example to me growing up. She is a Christian. The kind of Christian that has values that shine though her. I am a Christian too (LDS) and have loved having her as an example. It wasn't until I attended her wedding where I learned where her light came from. Her parents share a love for their children that radiates. I don't know then super well as a family and goodness knows I'm sure they have plenty of problems, but they love each other unconditionally and it shows. 

So here is the Nick family. It's starting to expand as Chandler and Kelly (couple on the right) are getting married this year and Abby and Mike just had their 2nd boy. It's an exciting time for them and it'll be fun to watch their family grow.

The Ethingtons - Year Three

This is my 3rd year in a row photographing Brittany and Greg's family.

Their little family is growing fast and they are expecting a little boy this year! Brittany said she feels like it's her first kid all over again because she has to prepare for a boy. I'm confident he will get a lot of attention from his older sisters and probably be forced to play tea party and dress up a few times growing up :)
