Attorney's Headshot

On Location Lighting.

I used a hot light on location for this one.
It was a little difficult finding space for the shot,
but I think the bookcase worked out nicely.

Mower Power

This is my husband's side of the family. This picture, believe it or not, was taken right outside of their house! There is tons of land surrounded by mountains all around their house. It's a lot of fun. This was taken while we were all home for Christmas. It was the first time that the whole Mower bunch was in one place since Nate and my wedding last year! It was so much fun to spend time with them!

This was one of the first images I took with my new 5D Mark II, so I didn't know how to turn on the timer. So for this picture, I set it up on a tripod and took a picture of everyone without me. Then I ran over and stood next to Nate while Cameron took a picture of the family with me in it. Then I just blended the two photos together :)

L&M Spurs

If you know anything about collectible spurs, then you've heard of L&M Spurs. Nate's Grandpa Mower and Nate's Uncle Denny make and engrave incredible spurs. They're actually worth quite a bit. Even I, who has no interest in using one can admire it's beauty. They're mostly sold to people who hang them on their wall for display because they're too fancy to kick around in the dirt.

ANYWAY

While I was at Grandpa Mower's house, Denny had me take some pictures of a couple of their latest creations. I wish you could see them closer, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get the pictures larger on the blog. Just know that up close, you can see every little detail of the carvings. It's pretty cool. Yay for my new camera!

The Grand Mowers

I get a lot of people telling me that they don't like pictures of themselves because they look old. Two such complaints came from Nate's Grandparents as we were visiting them over Christmas. I asked them if I could snap some head shots of them and see if they'd let me take a stab at taking a picture of them that they liked. I told them I could take some years off of them and if they didn't like it, it'd be no loss to them. Here are the pictures; both the original and the edited. I just finished them up and are e-mailing them the pictures. I'll let you know what they think.
