Tessa Time

Before I was an aunt, I never understood what the big deal was about nieces and nephews. Countless times I have been stuck in the classic situation of someone showing me endless images of some little kid whom I have absolute no interest in. I thought it odd that people fussed so much when it wasn't even their kid, but their sibling's kids!

Then it happened. Suzanne had a baby - my first niece. The cool thing about it was that Tessa looks like part of my family. She looks a lot like I did when I was a baby. There's something exciting about that which makes me think she's the cutest baby on the face of the planet. I am two states away from her and I think about her ALL the time. I miss her so much and I love her to death. I suddenly understand that having nieces and nephews rocks! Though I try my darnedest not to burden others, especially strangers, with my love for Tess.
